Agency construction management is the direction of the planning, design and construction of a project. Acting on the owner’s behalf the construction manager evaluates and makes recommendations on the project’s cost, scope, schedule and quality. With more than 41 years as a general contractor, we offer the unique ability to view construction management projects through the eyes of an “at risk” builder.
During the design phase efforts, our team works with the designers and owners to establish a project that meets both financial as well as program needs. As the design evolves we monitor cost, develop phasing plans, perform constructability reviews, encourage bidder interest, and develop schedules to ensure that the project is clearly and concisely conveyed to the bidding public.
Once construction begins, Massaro will provide a full-time, on-site superintendent who will be supported by a project manager, project engineer and safety coordinator. This project team is responsible for the communication of all project information between the owner, design team and prime contractors.
For those situations where an owner does not need the full-range of preconstruction services, Massaro offers many of these resources on an as-needed basis through our cost estimating services. Or, for those owners who are just beginning to consider modifying their existing facilities, our facility studies services can provide valuable information to help initiate and guide the decisions that will satisfy short and long range plans.
