Projects Beginning to Take Shape

May 2007 - As the summer approaches, the Construction Management Division will be awarding contracts to two projects currently up for bid. Bethel Park School District’s 2007 Asset Protection project and Avery Court Phase One preconstruction are both determining decisions about bids.

Bethel Park School District’s 2007 Asset Protection project bids were received on May 11th. The school board will decide on contract awards at the end of May and the ground breaking will occur in mid-June. Seven district schools will be upgrading their facilities throughout the summer months. Massaro Corporation’s preconstruction team has provided the district and architects L. Robert Kimball & Associates with estimates, constructability reviews and front end specifications for this asset protection program. These projects include a wide array of work including classroom additions, interior renovations, site improvements and mechanical/electrical upgrades.

After many months of preconstruction work, Phase One for Avery Court located in Parkersburg, West Virginia also out to bid. Working closely with Paradigm Architects and Castle Ventures, Massaro has completed preconstruction estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews and site logistic studies. The Phase One work consists of site improvements and the installation of the utility infrastructure, which is laying the groundwork for construction along Avery Street. Bids are due June 4th with work to commence immediately following award of contracts.
